8th Ambassadors, Consuls General and Tourism Directors’ Tour Launching
21 February 2013- The Philippine Department of Tourism, New York and Philippine Consulate General in New York successfully launched the 8th Ambassadors, Consuls General and Tourism Directors’ Tour (ACGTDT) on February 21st, 2013 at the Kalayaan Hall, Philippine Center, New York. Around 60 people attended the event.

Boston Globe Travel Show
The Philippine Consulate General and the Philippine Department of Tourism in New York joined the eight year of the Boston Globe Travel Show, which was opened to the public on 10 February 2013. The Philippine booth turned out to be among the most visited booths at the event. Visitors were given information materials, give-away bags and samples of Philippine-made mango, mango-tamarind and mango-pineapple candies. Videos of travel destinations in the Philippines were played all day.

The Philippines, through its Department of Tourism (DOT) in New York, joined the 2011 New York Times Travel Show held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City on 25-27 February 2011. The annual travel event is considered as
one of the biggest travel events in New York City.

Beneath the Sea
The Philippine Department of Tourism in New York joined the Beneath The Sea 2013. Benath the Sea’s goals to (1) provide continuing education to the recreational diver community, (2) educate the public in the benefits of protecting the ocean environment and (3) support ocean and environment related projects and charities.
